Dr. Aman Bhullar, DMD, FICOI

Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself to you. I have recently joined Dr. Charles Bocks dental practice and very excited to join this wonderful team of oral health professionals.

I knew early on in my career planning that I wanted to be in a scientific and/or clinical field of some sort, but that I also wanted to help people. Having been in the chair too many times for my own liking, I can honestly say that I understand what it feels like to be the patient. I found my fit in a field where care and compassion are so very important.  My career in dentistry provides me with the perfect combination of practicing science and compassion. I have the opportunity every day to make a difference and I find this to be extremely fulfilling.

I was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. I graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC), where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Cell Biology and Genetics in 1998. I spent the next year conducting research at UBC and was privileged to have co-authored an article in the Journal of Periodontology examining Biofilm in Dental Unit Waterlines. I graduated as Class President from Temple University, School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2004. I met my wife while attending dental school and we have been happily married since 2005.

After completing dental school, I returned to the Vancouver suburbs and started two very successful dental practices from scratch. The opportunity to develop patients trust and genuine interest in their well being brought an infinite amount of satisfaction to me. After much consideration and careful thought, our family made the decision to move to the Silicon Valley in 2017. The main reason for our transition to the Bay Area was to provide our children the best opportunity for educational opportunities as they get older. We felt the Silicon Valley would give them the most exposure to the dynamic digital world we are constantly surrounded in.

I recently was awarded my fellowship (FICOI) from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). To achieve this status, a dentist must document their successful dental implant cases, complete a minimum of 75 hours of continuing education in implant dentistry, submit a letter of reference from another ICOI fellow, and complete an additional 75 hours of continuing education in implant dentistry with 5 years of receiving the fellowship.

Continuing to stay abreast of the best therapies and treatments for my patients drives my passion for further education. I am spending over 580 hours in 2019 to bring the most current skills and techniques to our team.

Outside of the office you will find my wife and I trying to keep up with our 4 daughters busy schedules. I have enjoyed coaching my daughters, basketball volleyball and softball teams in Almaden. I am an avid hockey fan and recreational men's league player. I am still a Vancouver Canucks fan at heart but learning to like the Sharks!

Please drop in and say hello, I would love to meet you and help you with your smile!

Over the last 14 years I have taken great pride in providing high quality care and conservative treatment options to our patients. I continue to learn and pursue skills to constantly improve the level of care I can provide to my patients. I have active membership in the following Associations:
